Very nice day forecast and so it was , numbers a bit down, but hey nine skipper’s turned out , OOD’s showed up nice and early and got everything organised , the breeze was playing difficult with it direction and so the East bank was favoured with a nice little dog leg just to make it interesting and keep skippers from staining some old eyes. Micky boy had a terminal winch problem before he even launched despite it working when he left home, hey ho he did the starts and the finishing, Racing started and Colin H 301 blasted away and never looked back in the first race , he took the top step with Kevin E 02 2nd and Jen 3rd . It was a nice top suit breeze and the first three races were held on the East bank , we then saw the wind back and it was tome to have a coffee and move to the South bank,, low and behold when we finished coffee the breeze was back to where it was , except it was shifty probably as much as 20 degrees , well 15 anyway ,, we carried on and it was pretty obvious that Paul P 19 was on fire this morning and was going to be hard to beat. Martyn the leader in the series was doing his best and it seemed to be nip and tuck between the two of them, the rest of the field were having there own private battles and it was good to see Malcolm P 01 finally getting the hang of it and putting in some good results finally pipping Kevin E 02 , but still not getting near Jen H 69 who I am sure will be disappointed with her 4th place, Colin H 301 was plugging away and did well with his third place , whilst Colin T 431 felt he could have done a bit better . Birthday boy Mick C 39 was up and down , but his cakes hit the right spot. Very well done to Paul for the win 10 points from 9 races is very good going , they were quite long races and I am sure we all went home with a smile, great day of racing , enjoyed by all ..
