Another nice day for racing at Lincoln 13 skippers turned up but unfortunatly one chappy was not too well and decided to go home. Pete set a great zigy zaggy course on the east bank where we had a light south easterly and beautiful sunshine, but a fair bit of geese poo thrown on the bank side for good measure.

Pete got off to a good start winning the first race in what proved to be very light and fluky winds , that was going to catch a few out, Second race was won by Chaz who had his own control are fixed in chair by his car , so very well done Chaz because it is some feat not to be over the start line or hit any marks on the way round. By race 3 Jen 69 had got to grips and took the bullitt and by race 4 39 yes thats right Keith had got it all sussed and won the next three and got a secong in race 7 very consistant after a floppy old start. There seemed to be a bit more chat than normal on bankside, mostly about rules and for one minute i thought it was I.O.M sailing but hey this fleet is getting competetive, Rules Guru Tim 969 suggested we have a little rules chat with the white board when we had coffee and so thats what happened I am sure some of it sunk in and I will not say any more about the first race after the chat !!!!!!!

Pete was a little off colour but it is always harder when your doing OOD but he came good at the end with a two firsts and a second, but a little too late to dent Keiths great win , so congratulations to him. Jen took 2nd and Pete 3rd Mick C well his fitness is improving and I hope it will not be too long before he is back to normal.

One or two skippers seem to be struggling with either set up or actual sailing skills, and all I will say is sailing is one of the most difficult of any sport of hobby to get a grip of , what I will say is if anybody would like to come to the lake on a wednesday ( they may have to do a bit of work ) I will gladly spend time with them to try and improve htere skills, just remember Lincoln skippers have improved enormously over the last year so to try and tople the top three is no mean task, but dont let that stop you trying.
