14Th December 2020 “Not the Winter series”
DF 95 racing at Lincoln and 8 skippers showed up with 7 racing, A good south easterly around 7/10 knots enabled racing to take place on the south bank, It rained for the first half hour and then cleared up to give the skippers some great racing. A few skippers were missing and they missed a very good morning, and until we can see the light with this Covid stuff, many are staying home even though the bank at the farm is probably the safest place to be.
Tony did a fab job and got everything ready and sorted out the almost perfect beat run beat that allowed us to do 9 races and stop for coffee and some home made cake made with the skillfull hands of Mck Cooper.
Mick Ch 46 slow to get going had a fine day and got into his stride after the cake, Jen Hand was keeping him honest and sailed a great set of races again after the cake, Pete W 678 was not having the best of days, but was always there or there abouts, Mike W 839 is really getting to grips with radio sailing and came close on occasions. Mick Cooper had a bit to much cake and after a great first race faded for some reason , Nice to see Alan N 438 getting to grips, as was Greg C , who only lost a place on countback . The rain came back with half hour to go and the wind increase a tad for the last two races that were nip and tuck for Mick Ch and Jen H.
In all a fab mornings racing and our thanks to Tony and his helpers . all good natured stuff from the skippers, who would like to bow out this DF 95 class for 2020 by saying Happy Xmas to all and if you fancy a go come down and see us , in 2021
