A very foggy morning greeted the 10 skippers for round six of this winter series, a slight breeze coming out of the North West enabled OOD Chris Elliott to set a good beat and run course on the South bank.
Pete W 65 got a first in the first race but was unable to hold off the challenge of the Brit Pop from Chris E 74 who won the next two races. Peter H 60 with a new to him Italico was having fun and needs just a tad more experience to get up the leader board but I am sure it will come. with the The racing was slow as you would expect, but the buoys were easily spotted in the fog, and some good tight racing ensued. Mick C 46 was sailing his new Venti and seemed very pleased with its performance and is looking forward to the 2022 season.
Both Jen H 69 and Mick Cooper 39 were not sailing there best and Adrian C 77 was also below par on the day, Chris E 74 got another bullet in race 5 and that just about sealed his position on the day , with Pete W 65 having mid morning blues, But finally came good in the last two races of the day, Dave R 57 continued his fine form with the Vision edging out Mick C 46 on countback, with his two race wins in races 6 and 7.
Well done to Chris E for the win, and well done also to the race team including Chris the OOD for setting up and clearing away , many thanks to Tony J who did the scoring. and Alan Edgar for a few piccys
Just like to wish everybody at the club a merry Xmas and happy new year and remember round 7 is on the 9th January 2022 so see you all next year .
