What a fantastic day and a fantastic turnout at the Farm for round Nine of this great series 16 skippers came to the line in a great topsuit breeze from the South, sailing was on the south bank and Keith and Chris G set the best course possible which meant a slight ” specsaver ” moment at the gate. I have to say at this point that Mick Ch only sailed the first three races in an effort to go easy on a knee injury, and Jen Hands son was on hand ( no pun intended) to sail the remaining races, of which he won two, Chris E was having a bit of a cruise as he has already won the winter series but still managed to top the order at the end. The course became a little one sided towards the end but it really was great sailing weather with the sun out and the breeze getting a tad stronger Adran Cripps had a good morning with his Sedici taking third spot and Chris G getting fourth. Birthday boy Mick Ch supplied the cake for the coffee break and it was smiles all round, with a touch of banter as always. Eight races completed so many thanks to the OOD team and all the helpers , also a very well done to the substitute Tim Hand who aint a bad sailor but has just about zero experience on Radio sailing. One round remaining I believe but well done to Chris E on todays performance.
