A very windy day at the Lake, which meant C rig was definatley the order of the day, a few skippers were very unprepared thinking that owning one rig would do the job all year, sadly no, Racing was on the South bank and a perfect beat and run 2 laps had the fleet roughly split into two fleets The C suiters and the B suiters , Keith holms was the master and showed the fleet the way home in all races, Jen Hand borrowed Mick C’s 95 as he is still suffering from knee problems or old age more like , but her and Gordon had some good battles, with Gordon taking second spot by a whisker. Geoff S is still getting to grips but he leant a lot today that will stand him in good stead for the future .
A big thanks to the OOD’S for keeping things moving in the almost freezing wind that was up to 38 MPH at the end.
Just one little point ,, If anybody wants to get some kit IE smaller rigs from RC Yachts ( Mike Weston ) get it ordered and save on postage and ask Mike Weston if he can take it to Southport next weekend and give it to Mick Chamberlain to bring back. no charge .
