Scotland farm greeted 16 competitors for round three of the winter series. We welcomed the young Terry Rensch as a visitor , and on arrival at the lake the immediate impression was the forecasters have got it wrong, as a light south westerly breeze was complimented with nice mild conditions for the time of the year. A course was set on the East bank, and by 10 am a good top suit breeze made for some superb racing. 5 races were held before coffee break with mince pies and a huge box of chocolates, and it was nip and tuck where ever you were in the fleet, at the break Mick C was slightly ahead with three wins and a second but the pack was chasing. During the break some big gusts came through, and it was a wise decision to drop down to B suit, After the break it was a different story with new member Darin B sweeping the board with 5 straight wins. Several skippers had some noticeable results that they can be proud of , but consistency is the key, and we all need to work on that. It was also noticeable that when conditions became tough for B rig, a number of boats could not cope and for a variety of reasons by the time we had the last race only 7 boats were still racing out of the original 16 , A great days racing and the results are below.
