JUBILEE TROPHY 2013

Lincoln’s turn for the jubilee trophy came round on Tuesday 15th October and the weather could not have been better, 16 skippers contested the event the last this year with a steady 60% top suit breeze, sunny and not to cold. Chaz Jordan was OOD and kept things moving at a nice pace , Finishing line was run by Roger Bacon and Jackie Hunt with John Gray scoring , Rogers wife helped out in the galley along with Anne and Jackie Quinn and my thanks must go to all who helped make the day go well, 9 races were completed before we had a break for lunch , Pie peas and gravy , topped with mince sauce went down a treat , and to follow apple crumble and custard made it difficult to leave the club house for more racing , John Tushingham was firmly in charge and continued his winning ways into the afternoon with the rest of the fleet struggling to find the same speed, the event was very good natured, with at least three observers for each race. The day ended in good time to have the meeting to discuss the Jubilee for next year, before heading home , A bit of a shame more people from the Lincoln club did not come and have a look and support the event but I guess that’s life. The results are posted below just click the link.
