The weather forecast promised winds gusting to 20 mph from the SW during the morning. It was not wrong. The direction made for an excellent long course up and down the East bank. The strength favoured those skippers with a rapid rig change technique. A mix of A rig and B rig changed to a mix of B and C after the coffee break. Congratulations to Chris and Gordon for a close end result and to Roger for hanging in there for a good third.
As can be seen from the results there was a high attrition rate with 10 boats starting and 5 finishing.
Finally thanks to the Officers and helpers who kept the morning running smoothly with a firm but sympathetic approach.
