2018 has arrived , chilly but bright and eleven skippers from the club had a very enjoyable morning in the split fleets. Round four of the I.O.M Championship was won by Chris Graves with seven wins from eleven races and a very consistant performance whith his white britpop, it seems that 69 is a very popular number in the club if you look at the first three places. Consistancy is king and as you can see Mick Cooper had a couple of second places and a couple of thirds, Roger Bowtle also got a second in a very old design and looked to be going well on occasions. The wind was light to start from the North East , staright down the east bank but increased as the morning progressed, Many thanks to our OOD’s Roger and Gordon for keeping things moving.
The DfF 95 fleet could have been six but hey ho some very close racing throughout the morning in beautiful sunshine made the crispy cold morning well worth while. Unfortunatley ED had electrical problems after the first race and could play no further part.
We now have a lot of water in the lake due to the heavy rainfall so some jetty’s may get a bit wet, so wellies could be good in future . Results below.
