Race Officer Adrian arrived at the lake just after sunrise and by the time 7 eager skippers lined up he had everything well organised…

A light Southerly allowed a course up and down the clubhouse bank and racing started promptly at 1000 with a 1 lap Race to assess conditions. 

Micky Boy won that so it was decided to extend the course to  2 laps in attempt to spike his guns…

That didn’t work…. he carried on winning with a couple of 2nd places thrown in just to encourage the others…. he was able to leave after race 9 (lunch date) and still retain first place.

Martyn and Jen sailed consistently well to take 2nd and 3rd with Mike, Sam and Kevin chasing hard in the middle of the fleet. 

Ron was consistently slow but with a couple of good results to prove that the problem is not the boat.

All in all a great morning’s fun in good company.
