A FEW WORDS ABOUT A FEW BOATS!

Lovely warm sunny day with 11kts+ swirling in from the SSE and swinging up to 30 degrees either way. Not the best direction but Mike W. 76 OOD and Dave R. 180 AOD had a lengthy discussion and waited awhile but no change. The south bank was decided on and Dave set to in the dinghy and laid a “dog leg” with options at the start and finish.

First race was away by 10 with Dave R. 180 setting the pattern for most of the morning, finishing with 7 bullets. It wasn’t quite all his own way though as “big holes” up the beats allowed the lead to change frequently. Both windward marks seemed to be in their own little micro climate! very tricky. Richard J. 699 capitalised in the 5th race and took the win. Alan N. 232 was struggling with an intermittent electrical problem which eventually became permanent.

Plantar Fasciitis put paid to any participation by Mike W. 76.
