Great racing, as always at the Farm .

Round five was blessed with breeze and sunshine but for one reason and anther there were only 7 skippers soon to be 6.

Race officer Dave set a course on the east bank only to find on completion the wind had veered so another dog leg course was set as a back up. This was to be the story of the day wind shifting veering coming going making for very close racing with no position secure.

Mick C was fastest out of the block taking the first win, Dave took the second and Mick C the third. Chris G then found some speed and took the next 3. Mick C Dave R and Chris G took all the wins between them with an almighty battle for overall honours. Racing was close throughout the fleet with a lot of place changing in each race. We unfortunately lost Mike W very early on with a failed winch. Despite the winds best efforts to ruin the racing we prevailed using the dog leg course after coffee break again providing some very close entertaining racing.

Overall honours went to Mick C (Congratulations to him) with his win in the final race. Dave R had a disaster in the last race finding a hole in the wind on the final run and got swamped by the rest of the fleet allowing Chris G to take second Dave R ending third. Congratulations to the podium places and well done to all who had a great mornings racing in a very good sprit with friendly banter.
