IOM Summer Series Round 7 10th September 2017
A fantastic Autumn morning greeted 13 skippers for round 7 of the I.O.M summer series , a steady light breeze that gradually increased as the morning wore on. Mick Chamberlain got off to a fine start in the light and won the first 5 races, Coffee break saw a change in futunes with both Chris E and Rob W taking charge at the front interupted in race 8 by a win from an unusually quiet Keith H. Sailing was all on the East bank and by the time the last two races were run there were some very strong gusts causing a bit of nose diving on the runs. Mick Cooper continued his good form with his TNT just holding off Alan Newman with the AB4 , Roger Bowtle struggled a bit probably due to his early start leaving home at 7 am to come and fix one of the ride on mower’s, and it was also pleasing to see Ed W finally getting the hang of I.O.M racing .The rain held off for the morning and eleven races were completed, many thanks got to Rob W for keeping the action going as our OOD for the day and of course to the many helpers and competitors for making it such an enjoyable day’s racing. Well done Mick C gbr 46 for another fine performance in the V9 holding of a strong challenge. The next and final round for this series is on the 1st of October, a nice warm up ready for the Clive Hand on the 8th October .
IOM Summer Championship and Dragon Flite 95 Summer Series Round 7 3rd September 2017
A fresh breeze from the South East gave turbulent and gusty conditions from the South bank. The weed appeared to be more of a problem than usual, perhaps because this is an unusual direction and this bank does not get the normal attention of the raking gang. 8 IOM and 4 DF95 skippers did their best to enjoy an othrwise pleasant morning.
Thanks to Chrises Elliott and Graves for keeping the sailing moving along.

Dragon Force 65 Summer Series Round 6 27th August 2017
The day was sunny and warm but with only a fitful wind nominally from the NW. Very variable in both strength and direction. With the added problem due to the green stuff sailing was, at best, frustrating. It was good to see Peter W achieving a good score, only missing second place on countback to Alan E. We were also treated to a very beautiful, traditional R10R on the water courtesy of Chris.

I.O.M SUMMER SERIES ROUND SIX
A fantastic summers morning greeted 13 skipper for round six, a good steady breeze from just south of west had the fleet sailing up and down the East bank. But just before I get ahead of myself , some members of the club have done an awfull lot for the club so the rest of us can enjoy our sailing , Chaz Jordan is one such guy who put all the money up to build a new jetty , and very nice it is too , Many thanks to Chaz , and the opening ceremonie was held just before the start of racing , huge amounts of cake was eaten by most people at tea break , and many thanks to all who contributed and helped us get a bit fatter . ok on with the racing. There should be four pictures opening of ” JORDANS LANDING”
Top suit was used during the mornings racing, and although a little frustrating at times due to a bit of the old green stuff, racing was generally good and competetive and dare I say it a little heated at times, Breeze was stronger than forecast and probably around 10 to 12 knots . Daren started well with a bullitt and Keith a second , the beats were a little one sided but we all coped well, eleven races sailed in two and a half hours, thanks to Keith Holmes and Chaz our OOD for the morning keeping things going. Mick C came out on top claiming the Martini Fin keeps the weed away. Two rounds to go , but thanks to everybody who found the time to turn up and race , a great morning .
