IOM Winter Championship Round 5 7th February 2016
What a splendid day at Scotland Farm – and not a Britpop in sight! It shows how close the rest of us are. All of the top 3 today had at least 2 wins. The results (below) tell the rest of the story.
The wind was as promised, from the south west, strong enough to have 6 out of 7 in B rig, the odd one out in C. B proved to be the better rig for most of the morning but by the close of play it should really have been C – but nobody wanted to blink first, leading to some exciting skirmishes.

DF/RG Winter Series Round 5 31st January 2016
A cold wet morning greeted 5 skippers. The wind from the south east left the south bank and the east bank in heavy wind shadow. After much discussion and cogitation, which delayed the start, a reasonable course was set along the south bank. Ed, who was allocated sail number 0 due to his official number not yet being available, had radio problems from the start and did not manage a finish. sailing was extended to 13.00 hrs by which time 7 races had been completed. The well separated results do not reflect the closeness of the racing on the water.

I.O.M WINTER SERIES ROUND 4
Sunday 24th January 2016
The cold weather gone as 15 competitors arrived at Scotland Farm for round four of this exciting winter series, temperatures had competitors smiling as the close fought racing took place, battles going on all through the fleet, We had two ladies racing hell for leather and it was great to see. The beat was probably the longest we have had at the farm ever, and thanks to Darin and Penelope for laying out the marks, and also Dave Burke who was our race officer for the day, Thanks also to Penelope and Emily for doing most of the scoring for us. As I say the racing was superb with a variety of designs mixing it, this was a true advert for radio sailing. The Master took the result Darin Ballington gbr 98 well done the rest of the results are below and I know you will all be studying to see where you could have improved or done just a bit better. Many thanks to everyone for a great mornings racing .

IOM Winter Championship Round 4 17th January 2016
6 hardy individuals turned out on a cold windless morning. Bert had brought his only boat, a Dragon Force and chose not to join in the racing. Ivan had radio problems from before the start of the first race so had no scores to record. The remaining 4 struggled for the early races but were rewarded by an only slightly improved wind from the SE which at least provided some reasonable racing later.
