Dragon Force Summer Series Round 6 on 7th August 2016
Another great day racing at Scotland Farm , The sun shone the wind blew and the 8 competitors had some fantastic racing from the East bank in B rig conditions, that at times should have been C rig, A few breakages early on did not help and Gordon fresh back from his injury had to be content on sitting it out on the bank with electric problems. New to Dragon racing Keith Holmes started well with three wins before having a grey patch and then finishing strongly, Bob Geary lying second in the series could only manage a fourth, and Chris Corrin when his boat “was working” managed 3 seconds and a fourth, Ivan Stevenson was steady as a rock all morning and it payed , with him getting a third place overall, Winner on the day Mick Chamberlain GBR 46. Ten races were held and many thanks go to David Thomas for keeping us all in check.

IOM Summer Championship and Dragon Flite Summer Series Round 6 31st July 2016
A fine day with good sunshine and a steady westerly breeze 10/12 knots greeted 7 I.O.M skipper and two DF 95 skippers , racing was conducted from the East bank and the windward mark proved to be a bit of an eyesight test. Mick Chamberlain gbr46 started well with three wins and Jen Hand then got the next two. Racing was very good and we managed to get in 9 races despite the interruption for Phil’s big birthday cake, The weed in the lake proved less of a problem than we first thought, and there was good banter on the bank. Results are below , and you will also see the DF95 results , Gordon still not better and so it was down to Ivan and Ed to keep that flag flying , Ivan winning on the day and Ed still learning and getting better as each day passes, Lesson learned is always have a spare battery and change it a tea break , well done to the OOD and all the helpers, for making it a great mornings racing .

DF 95 results below , The races were sailed all morning with Top suit where it may have been better for the DF 95s to move down a rig .

DRAGON FORCE 65 SUMMER SERIES ROUND 5
Seven skippers turned out on a glorious summer morning to contest round five of the exciting series , A steady light south westerly breeze meant top suit was the order of the day, The atmosphere on the bank was chatty and informal and 9 races were completed. Top skipper of the day was Chris Corrin closely followed by series leader Phil H and then Bob G, who I am sure when when we see the series will have maintained there stranglehold at the top of the leader board. well done to all especially OOD Alan N and assistant Geoff B .
Next round is round 6 and will be on August 7th

IOM Summer Series Round 4 and Martin Lambert Memorial on 17th July 2016.
A total of 10 skippers, 7 club members and 3 visitors, sailed a full length course along the south bank. The wind was as promised 10 mph generally from the west but generating some interesting eddies when it occasionally moved towards the south. The temperature in my car was recording 24degC on the way home.
The entry began to reduce from about 12.30 and only 7 remained by the end of racing.
A total of 10 races were completed and the winner was David Alston. David acknowledged the result but declined to accept the trophy on the grounds that he was not a club member and was not sure where he may be in the world come next year . It was suggested and agreed that Grania would take care of the trophy until next year , a label will be engraved and added to the trophy in due course, Very well done to the race team in difficult and frustrating conditions.
