DF 65 Winter Series Round 4 3rd December 2017
Well a chilly day and nobody missed to much the day after the AGM , plenty of salad unfortunatley made it a bit of a lottery. Ivan decided not to sail on the day and kindly did the scores , wind was very light and it really was cold, some of the new bouys were on the lake and look very bright. Very sorry but cant think of much more to say. Except this was the first day of the A + rigs and for those that dont have one yet I am reliably informed they will be in stock by a well known supplier before Xmas so if the wife says what do you want for Xmas, Slippers wont help
thanks to Alan E and Ivan for setting it all up

Mick – I have marked those skippers who were using A+ rigs for interest, you can leave them in or delete them as you see fit.
Dragon Force 65 Winter Series Round 3
what a fantastic mornings racing, A cold frosty morning at 9am not a breath of wind at 10 am and then !!!! a great little breeze 5/6 knots at the most had us racing from the south bank with a great course and no salad, well a tiny bit. Keith got off to a great start with Alan Newman and Gordon Bennett second and third, 2nd race saw Mick Chamberlain take the win with Alan Edgar in second and Alan Newman third, It was very competetive all through the fleet with Bob geary posting a win in race Five. This in fact was some of the very best Dragon racing this year and everybody went home happy.
Many thanks to the OOD,s who did an amazing job. And many thanks to all who showed up to make this a very pleasant morning . 9 skippers 9 races .

Tie broken in favour of boat no 58 due to 1 first place.
IOM Winter Series Round 1 12th November 2017
The first round of the I.O.M winter series and C rig was the order of the day, there were times you could have used B rig and one or two skippers tried with some success. Dave Burke and Ed ran a good event as OOD’s and thirteen skippers sailed , some notable absentees, including one optimistic skipper who only packed his top suit, so it could easily have been 15 plus. The breeze from the North West provided us with a super beat and full length run on the South bank, 9 races completed with a little salad as it is now called, but with such a strong breeze you could power through it most of the time. A new Sedici was on show for the first time and showed some good pace but as with any new boat was hampered by one or two teething problems. Chris E gbr74 won the day with 5 first places and excelled in the breeze. I think all skippers went away happy with their racing, it was a fab day for sunshine and fast runs, and a great oportunity to try those small rigs that normally do not get used. Many thanks to all skippers for being there, and the officials for keeping things moving. A minutes silence was observed as close to 11 am as possible.

Dragon Force 65 Winter Series Round 2 29th October 2017
A good day for sailing even though the fresh breeze was from the wrong direction. North West to North is never an easy direction at Scotland Farm but the race officers, team Harpham, were up to the challenge and a challenging course was set using the existing mark positions.
Of the 9 skippers who started the event only 5 were still sailing at the end due to a variety of reasons.
Ties were resolved in favour of Gordon ( 2 ist places to Ivans 1) and Roger ( a 4th place to Micks 5th}
