I.O.M Summer series round 4 15th July 18
Another fantastic day at Scotland farm clear blue sky’s and a great South Westerly that varied in puff from 5 knots to 11knots , Sailing was on the east bank side and privided a great beat and run, there was a touch of weed ( floaty) in the first three races but one or two skippers managed to find it and take it out with there fins ,,, Job done , after that it was great sailing and nip and tuck throughout the fleet, Some great improvements in sailing skills were seen especially from Mick Cooper who managed to resist many temptations to tweak between races , maybe Jan was a calming influence, but it worked only three points adrift of a podium so well done. It was good to see Chaz back at it again and he sailed well, in race six led for two laps the breeze was up to 12 knots at that time so suited the lintel fine but he just lost it on the final beat to the finish. Ed Whitaker also had some good sailing cos in the first and last race he got a third, so just the middle bit to sharpen up on.
Results below but many thanks to Keith and Allen our OOD’s for keeping it moving and getting eleven great races in.
IOM Summer Championship and Dragon Flite 95 Summer Series Round 4 8th July 2018
DF 95 report ,,A great day dawned good breeze and wall to wall sunshine 13 skippers enjoyed the morning and the race officers did a fab job , A little on the DF 95 racing it was nick and tuck and a little frustrating due to a bit of salad but more of that in the next report for the I.O.M it was all taken in good spirit, and we all had a great morning, Alan had to retire with a dead rudder servo.

I.O.M Championship
At the end of the day three Brit Pops took top spots and many congratulations to Jen Hand for leading the bouys home, all I can say is it must be a good trim you had on today Jen. Nice to see Roger Bowtle right up there with his Lintel, and great to see Chaz back racing, after his visit to specsavers.

Dragon Force 65 Summer Series Round 4 1st July 2018
Apologies for the delay in publishing the results. I departed immediately after the racing and forgot the race sheet.
Temperatures in the high twenties and and a shifty wind from ( nominally ) the NE which varied in strength fom very little to a strength which almost tested the A+ rigs. The course set by the race team provided some good windward sailing to the first mark all morning.
No skipper really ran away with it and the final results were predictably close.
Thanks to Keith and Bill for keeping the skippers on their toes all morning.

IOM Summer Championship and DF 95 Summer Series Round 3 24th June 2018
The recent weather conspird against the 9 skippers who turned out today. Due to the lack of significant wind the weed was still out in the body of the lake instead of being blown to one or other of the banks. Todays wind was similar, varying in strength from nothing to not vry much and in direction from NW to SE.
Thanks to Graham and Doug for getting the best out of a very frustrating morning.
