The Clive Hand Memorial Trophy

The Clive Hand trophy is an established and integral part of the LRSC calendar in memory of Clive. Traditionally held in the Autumn it supports the working of the RNLI and is a day when skippers and family compete for the trophy in a spirit that Clive would expect and although competition is strong it is primarily about family and friends (sailing or non sailing) getting together for a day of fun.

A warm welcome is ready to any sailors who wish to compete.

Clive was a life long sailor who took to radio sailing when his health no longer allowed him to take to the water. Supported by Jen he became a regular competitor at local and national level and although restricted was a steely competitor with a clear view on what was right and wrong on the race course.

Jen took over the helm of Clive’s radio boat and has continued his and her love for the sport along with the family and can be seen on the waters edge at many events.
