DF65 and DF95 Yachts, and now , the New I.O.M ” MINT ”
If you are just starting out, a DF65 or DF95 yacht is a good place to start, they are mass produced, one design boats that can be purchased from a number of different suppliers. We have great fleets of both boats. Just search online for DF65 yacht, or DF95 yacht. They may also be found for sale secondhand on the the Model Yachting Association website.

Rob Walsh announced recently that he would be doing all things Rigs and Stuff for I.O.M’s. I recently saw him at the MYA trade show and he now has the work’s ,trust me , I.O.M masts in various colour’s He can pre bend for you, if you wish, he has booms a plenty including lightweight, I believe he may offer a service to make rigs for you ( although he has a young family and time may be tight ) For prices and anything you need to know email him in the first instant to robwalsh25@sky.com. International One Metre (IOM) Yachts
These yachts are manufactured by a small number of ‘cottage industry’ operations around the world, rather than being mass produced. As a result acquiring a competitive boat can be challenging, although second hand boats are more readily found. We occasionally have one on our for sale page, or contact us to see if we can help you find one. The Model Yachting Association website is also a good place to look. The suppliers below are also worth contacting for secondhand boats.

A highly recommended supplier is Pepe Vinaixa in Spain www.vinaixayachts.com. Pepe buildsthe Sedici and a more recent design, the Venti, from an Italian designer. Lead time is around 24 months sometimes sooner, so for the best get an order in and forget , they are great boats all of them.
Vickers Sailing
Ian Vickers designs and manufactures the highly competitive ‘V Series’ the latest I believe is the V 12 and proved highly competitive in the last World championships down in Australia couple years ago , I am also sure there will be many competing in next years ” 2026″ World championships here in the UK at Datchet Water Sailing club they are based in New Zealand and in my opinion ( I know nothing ) are well worth a punt if you wanna race at the sharp end of the fleet . https://www.vickersrcsailing.com.
