A fantastic days sailing at Scotland Farm 12 skippers turned out for this event and I believe all went home happy, Sunshine and a good breeze from the South West enabled sailing to be held on the East bank, we were pleased to have 4 visitors from yesterdays RG 65 meeting but generally a poor turnout from club members. Mick Chamberlain , Ivan and Roger did the starts and finishing with no real incidents and everybody sailing in a fair way, the event was good humoured and won by Chris Elliott with his Britpop,  Tim long second with his Vision and Michael Parkington 3rd with his Brit Pop. A few Piccys below , but just like to say any thanks to all for coming .

The Late Martin Lambert

A mere 6 entries attended what turned out to be a very pleasant mornings sailing. Temperatures approaching double figures and a gentle SW breeze allowed for a course along the South bank. Two beats and a run and gentle pressure from the RO allowed 11 races in the time available.

Thanks to Gordon ably assisted by Roger and Keith for keeping the action going.

Lovely start to the day 13 skippers , not to cold, the odd drop of rain, not much breeze 3/4 knots max. The weather marks were a bit of an eye sight test for some, with most failing at some stage in the morning. Nice to report no salad , Rob and Bill got things underway prompt, and Chris E was soon into his light weather trim to take the first race, closely followed by Rob W and this was to be the battle royal for most of the morning with the two B/P’s sailing really well. Mick C with the Sedici never really got a look in, and I have to say it was pretty consistant sailing for most of the skippers.

After a cupper , Rob took a firm hold on things and did not loose the  last four races, and deservedly won the day. Roger B had problems from the off and did not sail, Many thanks to all skippers for a nice relaxed morning, Keep your eye on the series results as they should be up by Tuesday.

So the end of the Winter series and despite being what seemed a long Winter only 6 heats sailed . Lets all make an effort to make the summer series the place to be for 2018 but first up we have the Martin Lambert & Absent friends Memorial Trophy on the 22nd of this month, please support this event , you know it makes sense .

A cold morning but a decent breeze from the North West made course laying easy for Chaz and Keith, they kept things moving and 10 races were completed by 1230 racing was good and close with no outside influence whatsoever. Jen took victory from Chris and Keith exciting to watch 50 % of top rig day with a great long beat, twice and a run.

DF 95 4 skippers good racing with the decent breeze Mick came out on top this time sorry no points on this the programme did not play ball and would not sort , it was Sunday night and the inputer was a bit tired , better luck next time I am sure
